A Minute in Savannah

A tribute to the city i've grown to love

My college years in Savannah were some of the best of my life, and I will never forget the great times spent with friends, in class, and exploring every restaurant and coffee shop. One of the best things about this small city is that there are limited chain restaurants, boutiques, etc. Every experience is personalized and unique, which is why they can be hard to find if you don't know where to look. I am still discovering new places to visit everyday, but here are a few of my favorite that I want to share.

With Krysta Coates as my narrator, and taking inspiration from children's pop-up books, I was able to create a vector infographic that resembles the magical atmosphere of Savannah. By creating the assets in Illustrator then animating them in After Effects, I was able to build fun compositions describing each place, with a bright, child-like twist. I mostly loved animating the assets transitioning from one place to the next, portraying further the idea of a Savannah pop-up book.

Enjoy these awesome Savannah spots!

Daffin Park - Home to the Savannah Bananas, apart of the Coastal Plain League, recruiting top collegiate baseball players every year

Starland Yard - Food Truck Park in the heart of the Starland District, which rotates a variety of food trucks every week

Ally Cat Lounge - A lively, ambient basement bar serving over 150 classic and original cocktails made from fresh ingredients in downtown Savannah
